FORMAT The   QLTS   seeks   to   assess   candidates   on   the   same   outcomes   that   a   UK   based Solicitor   is   expected   to   be   well   versed   with.   The   QLTS   is   carried   out   in   two parts,   the   Multiple   Choice   Test   (MCT)    which   is   conducted   online   in   centres   all over    the    world    and    the    Objective    Structured    Clinical    Examination    (OSCE) which is conducted in Central London. QLTS Route to becoming a Solicitor
ELIGIBILITY Although   there   are   certain   prerequisites   that   must   be   met   before   one   can enrol   as   a   Solicitor   under   the   QLTS   ,   the   SRA   no   longer   requires   a   candidate to   obtain   a   Certificate   of   Eligibility   beforehand   and   as   such   there   are   no formalities   to   be   completed   before   attempting   the   assesment.   C lick   here   to learn more.

WHAT IS THE QUALIFIED LAWYER TRANSFER SCHEME (QLTS) ?

The   Qualified   Lawyers   Transfer   Scheme   (QLTS)   is   an   Examination   conducted   by   the   Solicitors   Regulation   Authority    (SRA)   that   permits Professionals   already   qualified   to   act   as   lawyers   in   other   jurisdictions   to   qualify   as   a   Solicitor   of   England   and   Wales.   The   QLTS   consists   of   a Written   and   a   Practical   assesment   designed   to   ensure   that   all   Solicitors   have   the   necessary   knowledge   and   skills   that   are   expected   of   the profession. The QLTS replaces the older QLTT examination and is open to Professionals from many other jurisdictions.
